ABOUT SHELLEY
A life of service. A practice of connection.
Shelley Lamothe’s understanding of resilience comes from working in places where composure, adaptability, and sound decision-making matter.
Her path has taken her from service as a Combat Medic in the Canadian Armed Forces, including deployments to Bosnia and Afghanistan, to work as a Physician Assistant in the Arctic and senior military advisory roles. After retiring from the military, she became a Director of Learning and Development in the corporate world before establishing Disciplined Direction Consulting.

Across military service, healthcare, and leadership development, Shelley developed a deep respect for the human capacity to adapt, persevere, and overcome. Her own yoga practice opened another way to understand the relationship between body, mind, and purpose.
She travelled to India to study yoga and explore the philosophical traditions that underpin the practice. This helped her bring together practical knowledge of health and human performance, the discipline of service, leadership development, and contemplative wisdom.
Today, Shelley creates tailored opportunities for individuals and organizations to reconnect with themselves, develop clarity, and make deliberate choices about how they live, lead, and respond to change. Her approach is grounded, professional, and adaptable, with respect for individual preferences, physical limitations, cultural context, and confidentiality.
